Homeopathy

Sometimes it is not enough to treat individual symptoms alone. Classical homeopathy takes a holistic view of your physical, emotional and mental complaints and supports the body in activating its natural self-healing abilities. In my medical practice in Berlin, I accompany you in finding the homeopathic remedy that best suits you as an individual.

“Let like be cured by like.”

Samuel Hahnemann (1755–1843)

Does one or more of these issues

sound familiar to you?

Many of my patients come to me because they:

suffer from recurring or chronic complaints,

feel that conventional medical measures alone are not sufficient,

do not tolerate standard medications well,

are looking for a gentle, individualized and holistic form of treatment,

or wish to complement their existing therapy.

Often, it is not only about physical symptoms, but also about emotional stress, chronic strain, sleep problems or long-standing courses of illness.

I'm Dr.

Katja Aschenbrenner, M.D.

a physician with many years of experience in classical homeopathy.

In my practice in Berlin, I take the time to deeply understand your medical history and your current life situation – because only then can an individualized homeopathic treatment be effective.

Classical homeopathy is a healing method that views the human being in their entirety. It goes beyond pure symptom treatment and asks:

What makes these complaints unique in this particular person? Which physical, emotional and mental aspects interact? Which remedy matches this overall picture?

Homeopathic remedies are produced using special manufacturing processes and are available in different potencies and forms of administration.

The principle of similarity (“similia similibus curentur”) describes that a remedy is chosen which, in a healthy person, could produce symptoms similar to those shown by the patient. The emotional and mental characteristics are also taken into account – because homeopathy always treats the whole person.

I Understand You

My personal

Story

Over many years, I have completed extensive advanced training and obtained both the medical additional qualification “Homeopathy” from the Berlin Medical Association and the Homeopathy Diploma of the German Central Association of Homeopathic Physicians.
This solid training enables me to apply classical homeopathic methods safely, responsibly and with a sound background in conventional medicine.

What Treatment Looks Like

Step by Step

Initial Consultation

This is the core of the treatment.
In a comprehensive medical consultation, I assess:

  • all complaints in their precise characteristics,
  • physical, mental and emotional levels,
  • triggering factors,
  • previous medical findings and diagnoses,
  • as well as your individual reactions and sensitivities.

This appointment requires a significant amount of time , as it allows for a comprehensive understanding of your health situation.

Analysis and Remedy Selection

After the case assessment, a detailed analysis follows.
I select the homeopathic remedy that best corresponds to your individual condition – precisely adjusted in potency and dosage to your sensitivity.

Start of Treatment

Even in chronic cases, I often begin with a single, carefully selected remedy.

Follow-Up Appointments

Regular consultations are important in order to:

  • correctly interpret reactions,
  • accompany the healing process,
  • and adjust the treatment if necessary.

“Does homeopathy take a long time?”

A careful, holistic approach requires time – especially at the beginning. However, many patients notice changes early on, even if the process unfolds step by step.

Who Is Classical Homeopathy

Suitable For?

Classical homeopathy may be suitable:

  • for adults, adolescents and children,
  • for people with acute or chronic complaints,
  • for patients who wish for a holistic perspective,
  • as a complement to conventional medical treatments,
  • for those seeking a gentle, individually tailored therapy.

Classical homeopathy is not particularly suitable as:

  • a sole therapy for life-threatening conditions,
  • a method for people seeking purely symptom-based or rapid pharmacological effects,
  • a treatment without thorough consultation, time or willingness to engage in a process,
  • an approach for people who only accept therapies whose mechanisms are fully explainable by pharmacology.

FAQ

Homeopathy

Classical homeopathy follows strict principles and is based on a comprehensive individual assessment.
A single, precisely selected remedy is chosen to match the patient’s overall picture.
Over-the-counter combination remedies follow a different approach and do not replace medical homeopathic treatment.

This varies greatly from person to person.

  • Acute conditions often respond more quickly.
  • Chronic conditions require more time, as deeper regulatory processes are involved.

Important to know: homeopathy does not work like a conventional drug, but rather stimulates the body’s self-regulation.

No.
Homeopathic treatment can often be used alongside conventional medicine.
Medications should never be reduced or discontinued independently.
Any changes must be made only after medical consultation.

During the initial consultation, I take a lot of time to explore your physical, emotional and mental complaints as well as your medical history.

This includes:

  • detailed symptom and progression descriptions,
  • previous illnesses and findings,
  • life circumstances, stress factors, sleep patterns and reactions,
  • individual sensitivities.

This comprehensive assessment is crucial for selecting the appropriate remedy later.

Homeopathic remedies are generally well tolerated.
Occasionally, temporary initial reactions may occur, such as:

  • a mild increase in symptoms,
  • fatigue,
  • emotional balancing reactions.

These reactions are usually harmless and part of the regulatory process.
